The youngest IAS officer of this year is an Odia girl.
This year’s qualified youngest IAS officer Simi Karan is an Odia girl.
She belongs to Santoshpur village under Basta Block of Balasore district in Odisha.
Simi Karan who holds the all India ranking of 31 is only 22 and a student of IIT, Mumbai.
Miss Karan obtained this in her first attempt with UPSC.
Simi’s father Debendranath Karan is an employee of Bhilai steel plant and her mother Sujata Karan is a teacher.
Simi passed electrical engineering from IIT, Mumbai last year and appeared for civil services examination.
